Production notes:

From the Conmara Vineyard, a mix of VCR and Matt clone planting of Sangiovese planted in 2012. The 2024 vintage was near perfect, with a cool growing season followed by a dry, mild ripening. Traditional winemaking, crushed and destemmed to an open fermenter, with twice daily plunging. Fermented through to dryness to seasoned French oak for 12 months.

Colour:

Bright garnet with terracotta hues.

Nose:

Dried cherry, strawberry and cranberry over fragrant woody herbs. A ferrous, earthy note adds savoury contrast.

Palate:

Medium bodied, bright and focused with fleshy red cherry and cranberry fruit over rosemary, thyme and turned earth. Grainy fruit tannins gently build through the mid palate, with a fine clip of acid and resolved oak through the finish.
